Galapagos Tips
The first conservation efforts in Galapagos history occurred in 1930, with the request to the Ecuadorian state to protect some of the most representative species of the archipelago, to avoid extinction. Today, this purpose remains a mission for all who live in Galapagos. For this reason I will indicate some tips to improve your instance in the enchanted islands.
Los primeros esfuerzos de conservación en la historia de Galápagos se dieron en la década de 1930, con la petición al estado ecuatoriano de la protección de algunas de las especies más representativas del archipiélago, para evitar su extinción. Hoy, este propósito continúa siendo una misión para todos los que habitamos en Galápagos. Por este motivo voy a indicar unos tips que permitan mejorar su instancia en las islas encantadas.

Only national Airlines can take you to Galapagos in daily routes to the islands; Baltra and San Cristobal, the departures are settled from the airports in Quito and Guayaquil. International flights are not allowed. The airlines that fly to Galapagos from Guayaquil and Quito are: Tame, Avianca and LAN.
From the airport of San Cristobal should take a taxi to Hostal los Algarrobos, with an approximate value of $ 1.50, a period of approximately 5 minutes.

Before the trip in the airports in Quito and Guayaquil, the visitors should review their luggage at the offices of the Agency of Regulation and Control of Biosecurity and Quarantine of Galapagos (ABG), where specialized staff will review your luggage to avoid accidental introduction of species of animals or plants that can be put at risk the biodiversity of the islands. You must fill out the Legally Binding Declaration Form for Goods of Animals and Vegetable Origin. You must allow the inspection of your hand luggage by ABG inspectors.
Previo al chequeo con su aerolínea debe adquirir la Tarjeta Control de Tránsito en la oficina del Consejo de Gobierno de Galápagos, que tiene un costo 10$. Este documento es necesario para el control migratorio de ingreso y permanencia de visitantes que puede ser hasta 90 días.
Pagar el tributo de ingreso a las áreas protegidas de Galápagos: Turistas extranjeros no residentes en el Ecuador 100$; turistas que pertenecen a la Comunidad Andrina o MERCOSUR 50$ y turistas nacionales 6$. La tarifa para menores de 12 años es del 50% de los valores antes mencionados.
A su arribo debe facilitar la revisión de documentos de viajero.
En los aeropuertos de Quito y Guayaquil, debe acercarse a los filtros de control de la Agencia de Regulación y Control de la Bioseguridad y Cuarentena para Galápagos (ABG), para evitar la introducción de especies animales o vegetales que podrían poner en riesgo la biodiversidad de las islas. Llenar la Declaración Juramentada de Mercancías. Permitir la revisión del equipaje de mano por parte de los inspectores de la ABG.
